Republican senators will need Vice President JD Vance to advance President Donald Trump’s effort to claw back billions in funding.

GOP Sens. Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski have all voted against moving the rescissions package out of committee. The procedural vote is still open but with all Democrats expected to also vote “no” it will dead lock in a tie, necessitating Vance’s engagement.

GOP senators had been told to expect Vance, though one lawmaker granted anonymity to share private converations said they were warned that it could be a while before he arrives.

They’re all worthless, but I guess Collins is at least trying to save her seat. Mitch, I just can’t understand. I guess he’s just butthurt over Trump. Not a good look.

This is why we don’t need term limits. We need a smarter electorate.

Mitch wouldn’t be doing this if weren’t a lame duck.

People who would vote against her because of this shite honestly probably don’t deserve representation.

However, at the end of the day, she’s from Maine. So she sort of makes sense, and whatever Democrat with armpit hair who would replace her is probably worse.

Murkowski is inexplicable to me. I truly despise her. She’s Alaskan Herpes.

Murkowski is done.
Ranked choice got voted out. She will loose her next election.

ETA: Nevermind and I’ll be damned. Ranked choice recall failed by 609 votes. Was way ahead at one point. F’n Murkowski lives on….

FTR - if the budget can get into balance and we can cut $9b every year after that, we can get that national debt down to $0 in 35,000 years.

That's how small $9b is.
