The Epstein gaslighting is unreal

People on the right trying to defend or justify the DOJ’s handling of this are now saying that Pam Bondi really meant that she had a folder on her desk that was unopened and she wasn’t referring to a client list, which apparently never existed now.

I’m surprised all of MAGA isn’t onboard with calling BS on Trump and Bondi. Now the new thing is “move on there are more important things to deal with” as if DOJ is incapable of handling multiple investigations.

I’m not super jazzed about your use of “gaslighting” in this context. Gaslighting is more of a premeditated, nefarious act or set of actions; however the picture you’re attempting to paint here is certain folks actually trying, genuinely as it may be, to downplay a matter of concern.
Anyhoo, doesn’t even matter - because it’s quite clear that what you’re doing is painting that aforementioned picture in the most negative, lousy light possible. You could possibly be gaslighting yourself, ackshully.

They flubbed bigly by bluffing before they had anything, saying they had something, then either found out they really had nothing or found out that they had more than they thought.
Either way, they lied, they lost credibility, and they've cast doubt on whatever they say in either direction. They put themselves in a lose-lose.
