I’ll definitely watch. But I liked it as a two-season masterpiece. It ended perfectly for me.
But if they can keep up the quality, I’m all in.
This is alway the show I recommend to people who ask me about Squid Game. SG is solid, but this one runs circles around it. It’s excellent.

I need to go back and re-watch, but I wasn't' a fan of S2. Maybe I phoned it in half way through, but wasn't the ending all jumbled and stupid with players being controlled/gods or something like that.
Now S1, that was amazing. I've rewatched that one a few times, but only watched S2 once.

Oh hell yes! This is legit one of those shows that I wish all the time I could forget completely, so that I could watch it again fresh. This shows absolutely nails a live action anime feel (I know it is a manga). Where so many anime adaptations feel so bad, this just kills it.

Now I can't remember if I binged 1 and 2 or just saw 1. I only remember watching it during covid, so I don't think I've seen 2.

I watched season 1 of squid games prior to ever discovering AiB. After binging AiB, I couldn't go back to squid games

I enjoyed the first season of Squid Games primarily for the novelty, and hate-watched the second season before throwing in the towel.
IMO it's sort of like Westworld — just watch Season 1 and don't be tempted to go any further.

I believe the comics had a storyline regarding Joker but I don't think it was enough to make another season.

I was a little confused by the ending. The idea was they all died in an asteroid, so they ended up in the game. But that doesn't explain how some of them got to be game operators, like we saw at the end of S1, and how others got to be players. Also, all the operators at the end of S1 presumably died at the same time (they were all found dead with the laser shot through the head), so did they all die at the exact same time weeks after the asteroid hit? I also feel like it kind of implied the injuries they sustained in the game were injuries they sustained from the actual asteroid hit, was that correct? If so, I'm pretty sure we saw people die from panther attacks and drowning, not sure how it explains that.
Again, I enjoyed S2 - though I thought it was weaker than S1 - but wasn't entirely sure of the logic. Either way, can't wait for S3.
ETA: For a show that sometimes gave off the vibe that anyone can die at anytime, I didn't care much for that like 5 v 1 boss fight where people were fighting/surviving ridiculous wounds.
