Is there anywhere y’all suggest buying these from? Didn’t want to take a chance ordering online and they look fake/cheap

When I built my camp, I bought some kiln dried cypress 1x8” and put a bunch nail holes in them, sprayed those with black paint, ran them through a planer and made them myself. I’d say make sure they are really well dried because the AC will suck whatever moisture out of them and they will start shrinking up on you

THE OLDE MILL

hardwood veneer (oak, barn wood, cypress) over plywood. lightweight, easy to install, look great. if you want to see them in person in place, go to BRQ on jefferson we installed them there. i am putting 4 of them in my kitchen ceiling right now

you can get 2, 3 and 4 sided, open or closed ends

If you’re feeling creative, this guy does some pretty impressive faux hand hewn beams. 2 parts below, 2nd won’t embed.
