ETA: I might be the whitest boy on Earth, but every once in a while I drop the "it's all gravy," line from Platoon.

ETA #2: The fact that he's getting his at the same time as Rachel McAdams and some other younger actors shows how long overdue this was.

Don't worry about it, he encourages you to do so.

Just keep your pecker hard and your powder dry, and the world will turn.

I met him last year at a Princess and the Frog 10th anniversary screening in New Orleans. Extremely nice and down to Earth dude. Said hello and took pictures with anyone who asked.

I told him I repeat his line from "Men At Work" about other people's fries all the time. He got a laugh out of it.

What was the line about fries?

I’m currently watching Duster and he’s in it. Other than that I hadn’t seen him in anything lately. But I’ve always liked him.

It’s really not the huge honor that it’s made out to be. Anyone can nominate an actor for this as long as they have at least 5 years in Hollywood. Then the actor must agree to show up for the ceremony and pay $40,000 for their star.

This is a cool video and his reaction seems sincere, but his family bought him this for his birthday.

I was coming here to ask that as well. I always heard that you basically bought your own star on the WoF and wondered why it would even be a surprise to him.

Sort of like ordering a package on Amazon and then getting all teary-eyed when it was delivered.

His reaction was cool though. I like KD.

I was watching Platoon about two weeks ago. Even with all of those stars in the movie, he really stood out. He should have gotten a best supporting actor nomination for that role, IMO. Not saying he would have won, but a nomination would have been nice.
