It’s a very close race between this and The Odyssey as my most anticipated movie of 2026. It’s an adaptation of Andy’s Weir’s sci-fi novel of the same name. Weir also wrote The Martian. It’s a great book, but easily the best audiobook experience I’ve ever had.

I just bought the audio book on audible a few days ago, but haven’t started it yet. I heard it’s terrific.

It’s amazing. The narrator Ray Porter is one of the best I’ve listened to and this is his best work in my opinion. If you like him, also check out the Bobiverse series.

"I put the not in astronaut. I've never done a space w-I can't in even moon walk". That was pretty funny

I’m reading this right now as it popped up as a random recommendation on kindle.

Weir has a great way of making boring science stuff riveting with internal monologues.

Without spoiling anything it looks like they’re changing a bit of the backstory.

Hoping they add it to Libby at the library soon.

Have been pumped for this one for awhile! Really enjoyed the book, maybe more than The Martian. The audio book is next on the list.

Please be good please be good please be good.

I can't wait to see my old friend Rocky. He's the best character ever written and a true hero.

I’m not good at visualizing things from books and when it showed blip-a I thought ohhhh.

Same for Rocky

So pumped for this. I was not an audible guy at all, like anti audible and hated on people that did audible because I just thought it was cheating, then Mrs. Iwy made me listen to this. Pretty incredible. Still my favorite audible ever. Fwiw, I also still don't audible is reading, it's just listening

I think Gosling is perfectly cast but my only hesitation is if they can pull of the brilliance of Rocky. I get not wanting to spoil his character but that looked like a lot of movie without Rocky. But my hopes are high for this and I'll be there opening night.

That’s great to hear Porter does the narration on the audiobook. I’ve read the book but need to listen. He’s great on the terminal list series by Jack Carr audiobooks.

I think it's exclusive to Audible. I agree with everyone else - it's a great listen. Just finished it for the second time last week. I'm excited to see this.

Book has potential to be a great movie.

Wish they didn't spoil the surprise with the alien in the trailer! Trailers show too much now.

One of the best audiobooks you'll listen to. Everything else I try to listen to now falls flat.
