No parent should have to bury their kid.

In the midst of arguing with Mingo last night, I found out that a child at my kids school had passed away unexpectedly over the weekend. We didn't know them as they were behind us in grade, but for some reason it's hitting me really hard. It's just put me in a funk. I couldn't sleep last night and I can't get it out of my head this AM.

God bless this child's parents, their brothers and sisters and extended family.

Life isn't fair sometimes.

It’s the worst thing imaginable for a parent to go through. You never fully recover.

At least I corrected my spelling error before you laughed at me.

my mom always said God better take her home before any of her kids pass away. Now that I’m a father I can 100% understand where she was coming from.

I’m very sorry. I worked with a guy that died in a car accident. His mom would call his phone daily just to hear his voice. That was 26 years ago. I’m still friends with his mom.

Arguing with retards online in 2025 is beyond pointless. It shouldn’t take a dead kid for someone to realize this.

There was a kid in the same grade as my kid that took his life in the 10th grade. That class graduated this past May and the parents set up a scholarship in their son's name and presented to the winner at the baccalaureate mass. That poor mom looked so broken. I just can't imagine (nor want to) her pain.

The first 12 months are pure torture. You wake up every day thinking about what you were doing with your child on that day 1 year ago. Then you make it past the first 12 months and you feel extreme guilt because you start to feel like they are slipping away. I didn’t realize just how traumatized I was those first 3 years after until I had a chance to reflect later. Our little boy would have turned 9 this past Friday.

I didn't see the error... Did you misspell Mingo as douchebag?

Ironically, Mingo can be difficult to overlook.

Realized you were wasting your life bringing yourself down to his level and he'd beat you with experience?

I literally can’t imagine it. Kids are so full of life, so how is it possible for that to come to a complete halt?

This guy is a terrible person. Let’s hope he doesn’t have children of his own and if he does, he’s not involved in their lives.

I’ll never forget when all of this went down. I think of it often and pray for you and your family. Truly can’t imagine
