Think of it like this. You have actionable intelligence that says person or persons x is at a particular location. Do you move to take out the high level target ASAP or do you pass on an opportunity you may not have again because you are waiting on a cease fire 6 hours away in which there is no guarantee it holds or is honored.. that’s why I said you smoke em if you got em.

How old are you?
If a ceasefire is agreed to, both sides need time to notify all under their command. Because in a war, communications sometimes get cut. Because if youve got a patrol manning a remote outpost, they could unwillingness kill the enemy after an immediate ceasefire occurred, without notice.
