Question about BR music venues in the Golden Age of 60s and 70s

Since us old timers hit the OT more frequently I am asking this here instead of the music board.
I know Independence Hall hosted some great acts back then but I'm having a Mandala Effect in searches about it. Grok and CoPilot both say that IH was also called "Lakeshore Auditorium."
I remember IH being by the river, downtown by the old EKL hospital...wasn't there another venue on Stanford at the LSU lakes where the early greats played? Similar to The Warehouse in NOLA?
I remember reading that the Rolling Stones played at IH in the mid-70s. Controversial because of the big dick Jagger rode onstage. But now the sources I see about their tour list LSU Assembly Center as the concert site (2 warmup concerts just before their 1975 tour kickoff in Texas).
I believe this has been discussed over here, but I can't find the thread.

yall ever get into who all played at the old Bayou? it’s pretty cool. The Police “pioneered” an old underground college circuit for bands that were independent/up and comming. just to name the 2 i know of: The Police and REM. i know there are more that i either cant remember or dont know of.
