Are you this type of person or work with this type of person in the Corp. office?

Plant baws and hourly workers can ignore this.
Are you the type of person who keeps tabs of when other employees arrive and leave the office? And how long they take for lunch? And do you then go to your manager and say "so and so got to leave early yesterday so I want to leave early today" or "so and so got to work from home last week so I want to work from home next week"
If so...you're the worst type of person to manage and stop wondering why you've been in the same role or at the same level for 10+ years.

A manager with a hair on his or her arse would say one of two things...
1. If you have time to notice and make note of things like that, it sounds like you need more to do..
2. Clean out your desk, I'm not a baby sitter.

Those are the people I terminate or lay off first. Louisiana's only redeeming factor business-wise may be that its an "at will" state.

If I'm not in charge or responsible for someone else, I don't really pay attention to what time they leave or stay or anything.

If they are getting their job done, I couldn't care less what they do.

Only when I have to.

I am the manager, and I have to deal with these retards. I don’t pull IT logs or anything, but it’s abundantly clear who actually works and who doesn’t

No
I don’t care what others do

Can you put ”men” who work inside with the women” in the title?”

Do you the autonomy and authority to "discipline" the shammers?
I only worked in "corporate" for a few years and quit for good because I didn't. After having been in the military with the ability to deal with dirt bags, i couldn't handle having the responsibility without the authority necessary to deal with it.

No. frick no, baw.
For one, not my business.
For two, we have a very flexible work arrangement so just because there isn't a but in a seat doesn't mean they aren't working.

I notice when a VP rolls in at 930, goes to lunch at 1045, and comes back from lunch at close to 2. But I don't say anything as I live out BabyTac's dream of five days in the office with no flexibility for no reason.

No. I do not care what other people do. But, I work over most days, so I don't feel bad about leaving a little early one day. Some people in my department work from home, but our COO wants me in the office. I think there's give and take, but that "so-and-so gets to....so I get to.....", no thanks.

My boss is one of those people and he somehow micromanaged his way into upper management. None of the staff trust him, but he doesn't seem to realize it.
Now, we have one female engineer who has quite the reputation of coming and going on her own schedule. He has never once spoken to her about it, but he will talk shite about her doing it to other people outside of her chain of command.

I think we have a couple of those in here
Boss man says we must work 8 hours at the office each day at a minimum (I'm on salary)
Boss man only comes in 3 days a week and when they are here, the owners only work 4-5 hours a day
We also have to work remote afterhours if there's issues and we have to work on Saturdays as well. I'm on salary, so it's 40 hours a week at the office and then however many hours needed outside when your not at the office
long story short, when I get to the office is when I get to the office and I leave when I need to. if they fire me, they fire me
