What is the oldest, still-working appliance in your home?

It recently came up in conversation that my mom and dad’s deep freezer has been going strong since they purchased it around ~1985. A relative who lives in my grandmother’s house only recently replaced a water heater manufactured back in 1977. As for me, my furnace is about 30 years old and showing no signs of slowing. Do y’all have any appliances in your house that have stood the test of time?

Laundry room fridge, it’s about 38 years old and works a frick of a lot better than the new Chinese shite in our kitchen. Anything I want extra cold I put in there. Frosts the tops of beers, it’s GOATed

It’s my hot water dispenser. It is the only device that survived my 2011 remodel. The range and washer from 2011 have died. Done with certain brands for sure.
Buy Speed Queen! GE, Kenmore, LG suck arse.

Garage fridge is pushing 30. It’s a no frills ice box on top fridge.

Your mom...

All our major kitchen appliances are 26 years old (house built in 1999) and all the major sub-systems in the house are still original except the HVAC systems that were replaced 2 years ago. 2 of the three HVAC units were still running but were all replaced since we went to a significantly updated system.

I have a 1950s Kenmore gas range that still works. I have it in my home office that has a kitchen so we don't use it regularly. But I still fire it up for some things. Its a 42" heavy beast with a griddle in the center of the cook top but it needs some cosmetic work and a couple of burners don't work.

My dad has an oscillating fan from the thirties or forties that his parents had. A guy who works on old appliances as a hobby reconditioned it and it looks and works like new.
Not exactly an appliance, but we have my great great grandmother's cast iron wash pot. It dates to at least the late 1800s or early 1900s and probably older than that.

I have a hamilton beach hand mixer that is at least 5 years older than I am.
I have a dish washer that's about 5 years younger. She's temperamental, rarely works, makes a lot of noise, isn't great at cleaning, and never polishes off things like she should.

The stand up freezer in the pantry is from 1971, the gas dryer is 1974, and the built in ovens in my house are 1975... my father kept the receipts for everything and the ovens are original to the house.

22 year old, wedding gifted Mr. Coffee. And a 16 year old Sony Bravia TV, that somehow refuses to age out and works just as well as my 1 year old Samsung.
