Talking actually lived there. Not a cruise/vacation or worked there on a 2 week or however long hitch. I mean lived for a year or more.

Yes. Where are you thinking of living? Outside of Anchorage and Fairbanks, it’s very rural.

Southeast, AK. Been here for most of 30 years.
Its very different from Anchorage or the interior.

What’s it like? Do people know SEC ball or is it just all NFL fans up there? How’s the food?

What about it. Lived in SE LA for 26 years before moving to AK.
Spent 3 years in SC Alaska (mat su valley and anchorage) and 3 years in rural, bush Alaska in SW AK.
What you need to know?

Coastal, no road connection out of town.
Its more like the BC coast, people in Anchorage hate Juneau.

I have mixed feelings. I wouldnt cry if it went, might make the cost of living here more tolerable for some.

100% and would also make legislative hearings way more interesting and interactive
Nobody want to do the milk run to go protest a potential law.
Plus it sucks it takes forever to do anything with SS, birth certificates etc in Anchorage bc it's all got to routed to Juneau first
