On average how much Euro to bring? My first time so trying to get ideas. Of course will also use the CC.

If you are on the cruise ship the whole time I would just bring maybe a a hundred for small items in ports and tips. Every thing you buy on the ship just gets billed to your account and you pay with the cc when you settle up.

I am on a European river cruise right now.
I like to bring a little with me but the best way to get euros is to use your credit card at an ATM machine from a major bank. They have them at the airport. Just don’t go to a money exchange booth because they are rip offs.
Get small change for tips.

Thanks - I’m only concerned about on-shore.

Why are people talking about tips in Europe? Are you trying to ruin Europe?

You probably don't need much, maybe 200 (if that, even). Italy is generally way better about accepting cards than they were just 15 years ago, not sure about other places.
Look to see if your excursions include lunch, if not, you might want to bring more depending on how many people you're traveling with and what you typically eat/drink when on vacation. For 11 days, I'm guessing 7 days in port. So long as you aren't into extravagant lunches or purchasing expensive souvenirs, I think 200 should be fine, really, if not too much.

No days at sea, starts in Barcelona end in Venice. Port visit every day. No plans on buying expensive souvenirs, limited space flying back lol. Good thought on the excursions.

Way less than you actually think. Pretty much everywhere will take cc - and you will see almost no one pay with cash.
Make sure that when you use your credit card that you pay in the local currency and just let your cc do the conversions. If you pay in USD at the shop, restaurant, etc. you will get screwed on the conversion.
