Visit a snow ski town during the summer. I like Steamboat Springs where you can:

- Ride the ski lift up the mountain and ride a mountain bike down.

- Attend a pro rodeo…every night.

- Take a guided fly-fishing trip.

- Do white water rafting.

- Wake up to 50 degree air with no humidity every morning even in august.

Additionally, there are enough hotels, restaurants, and shopping to keep anyone happy because it is a resort town.

I enjoy blowing money on Vegas trips. And I am not a gambler.

Round trip for 2 from MSY, 3 nights hotel 4star is less than 1K on Expedia. Not going too crazy on expenses it can be done. No gambling.

Vegas had become a corporate soul sucking experience. If I were single, I’d take that 2k to Southeast Asia and have a blast for a month.

guns, records, and stereo equipment, where 95% of my disposable income and 10% of my income that I should spend on other things goes.

Ok...Im going to break down what's going to happen on your trip.

You and your wife will go in with a "budget"....

You will say you won't gamble,..and you may not ( lol) But you will drink...a lot.

Once you are drunk you will get swept up in the Vegas aura. You will spend massive amounts of money on drinks and food, just to join the "scene".

It is fun. It is inevitable.

I would say not to fight it, just know you are going to spend a shitload of money, whether you gamble or not.

This is the damn truth….Vegas is the best city in the world at making you think you are a “high roller”….
