take 3 tablespoons of old fashion oat meal and mix it in with your coffee grinds.
Brew as usual.
Gives your coffee a nice smooth taste and lingering after taste. Also takes a little of the bitterness out.

Based on your post, you’re probably drinking some low quality cheap arse coffee (Maxwell House , Folgers) that have been sitting in a warehouse for months. Both brands are notorious for bad taste and weak flavor. By masking the bitterness flavor with oatmeal, you’re still drinking shitty coffee. Buy some quality fresh roasted coffee beans and a decent grinder and it will change your life. Serve the oatmeal for breakfast

That's about as dumb as the one time a guy I once worked with decided to make a pot of coffee and he dumped a couple teaspoons of salt in with the grounds. That was some nasty tasting stuff and he was never allowed to do that again.
He said it was what was common practice when he was in the Navy and we all told him he wasn't in the Navy any more, and not allowed to brew coffee.

I have heard of cracked eggs shells being used in with the coffee grounds by some fine dining places in NOLA, but never oatmeal.

I mix it all the time but in a different order:.
1. make 2 servings of oatmeal.
2. make morning coffee
3. eat oatmeal
4. between spoonsful of oatmeal, drink coffee at your leisure.
5. it all mixes in your tummy.
