There’s the move to get under tax, probably nothing else happening.

Probably a fake 2nd.

Hell, given OKC’s record, a top 55 protected 2nd may actually convey.

For one of two things.

Either a bigger move is coming and they needed to clear a roster spot

Or

This just gets us below the tax and nothing else is happening.

Curious if this is a case of sending a protected pick swap or something like that to OKC for picks from them, have them consolidating picks like Utah is

Unreal

Gotta think this signifies we can't trade BI for basically anything.

Probably. Griff is one of the worst GMs in the league. We were better with Demps

Possible but then Theis could likely be added to that deal then waived by the receiving team.

I think it's the 2nd of your 2 scenarios. Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah I don’t think anything is happening. You have this trade probably already lined up. Only reason to do it now is cuz you know you aren’t doing any other move

We’re already cooked.

This just guarantees we get under the tax, meaning we either stand pat or can make deals that are cash neutral.

I want BI out so we can be done with it but I think Griff is hoping for a sign and trade this offseason.

If he does a sign and trade, we still get some assets, be it contracts, a huge TPE, etc.

I just want him gone at this point so we can move forward.

Griff and Willie have to fricking go. Griff should be gone now, he shouldn’t have another say in the rosters’ future. Willie can stay to guide the tank.

Considering you have a trade market of Fox getting traded for what’s considered a bad contract and 2 1sts, Lula getting moved for way below value, same with Kuzma, it’s probably best to wait. Trade market is saturated with a bunch of teams trying to make moves and sometimes the best move is the one you don’t make right now. Definitely shouldn’t take whatever is thrown at you.

On the other hand though, I just thought about it, we only have Yves and Karlo as big men currently, I’m willing to bet something else is happening

That has already happened, and we want it to keep happening…

I don’t understand what’s bad about that?

And there is the cap savings move.

Does not give me hope that we have a BI deal lined up.
