Best place to sell a firearm

I'm thinking of putting up for sale my brand new Springfield Hellcat Pro I just bought. Can someone recommend where I might have the best chance to sell it?
I've always had S&W 38s, and long guns that were family hand me downs. Finally decided to buy new pistols for the wife and I. Went to Range USA and spent all day shooting all kinds of stuff. Decided on a Springfield Echelon for me and a Hellcat Pro for the wifey.
Well they had a nice sale price on a Hellcat Pro bundle with 5 mags, range bag, speed loader, green dot sights. I found it too hard to pass up so I bought us both the Hellcat Pro bundle since they also come with a few of the extended mags that extend the grip for my larger hand.
Well after getting home and playing with it I came to the conclusion that I should have bought the Echelon. Being a noob gun buyer imagine my surprise when I went back to the store this morning and asked to exchange it and they said no. I thought as long as it had never been fired it could be exchanged but apparently that whole serial number, federal registration blah blah stuff is pretty serious stuff and means they can't take it back. So yeah, I figure I'm going to loose some money but the longer I don't have the Echelon, the more I want it. Don't get me wrong, the Hellcat is a fking amazing piece. Absolutely love everything about it, just wish it was bigger.

Don't sell it. Just save up for the Echelon and buy it when you can afford it.
Especially if you love the pistol

Does your wife or partner have a gun? Do you have a gun for keeping by the nightstand? Do you have a Sunday go to church gun?
It can be any of those!
Seriously you will probably take a 50-100$ hit on it if you sell and having fired or not fired is irrelevant for anything but collection pieces.
Carry it and use it let all your buddies know that you want to sell it and are willing to sell for 50$ less than paid and sell it that way.

What is this “sell a firearm” you speak of? Always keep it.

Here's the thing that you have to see from the gun store. They don't know if you "used" it and it is hot now. It's a safety thing.

Yeah, that is the right thing to do. I guess it's the principle of it, lol. It really is a bad arse little gun. Same size as a Glock 43 but better everything.

You need to clarify where you are located. Are you still in Baton Rouge?
I’ve sold guns but I hate doing it. I try to use word of mouth bc I don’t want to bother with complete strangers. Online like gunbroker is another option.

Yeah I bought the wife the same gun and she loves it. I'm figuring I'll take a bath on it if I sell it. Just figured it would have the most resale value new in box with tags never having been fired. Put out some feelers with some friends, if nothing comes of that, I'll keep it and just buy the Echelon because it's becoming a necessity now, lol.

You're right. I saw saw the error of my ways. I just broke down and bought the Echelon. Truth be told I love that Hellcat Pro too much now. If someone offered me full price for it I wouldn't sell it. Love both of those bad arse pistols!
