it is very disappointing to see the best defensive teams allow their cb's to press the receivers at the los. LSU cb's rarely do and usually play 6-8 yds off the los. I know our guys aren't as talented, but allowing receivers a free run off the los makes it so much easier on the qb, and difficult for rushers to get to the qb on time to disrupt . I hope this changes in 2025 with new cb's

As defensive coach, you have do so with lesser talent at CB or risk them getting beat over & over again. Not every CB has the ability to play press man coverage all game long.

You answered your own question. You see how many times Stamps gets beat on deep patterns with simple moves by the WR and as you said, he is playing well off the LOS. Just imagine him getting immediately beat off the LOS. I believe I have seen Alexander occasionally crowd the receiver but never Stamps...for good reason.

Etienne, Woodring, Ausberry, Clark..
Not happy watching all these La kids playing elsewhere.

I love when our guys line up 8 yards off the line on 3rd and five.

Ausberry’s kids weren’t coming here and their dad had no business continuing to be employed by LSU after his work to cover up abuse.
But hey, the guy is garbage and somehow kept his job.

One of Ausberry's kids is currently on LSU's roster...

Maybe ND and GA QB/WR are not that good to beat press coverage.
