Most likely these attacks were done by the same people.

Not for one second did I believe the battery accidentally exploded on it's own.

100% there were fireworks in there. That's on video, and not up for debate.

And how cool is it that he's got data on the truck? OK, also a bit terrifying, but still cool.

So, 'rented'? Sounds more like a terroristic message than 'accident', but time will tell.

Exploded right on its own in front of Trump hotel with the driver inside on the same day another rented EV truck also committed a terror attack with explosives inside?

Use common sense these were coordinated together

The fireworks were added to his bomb for an added “show” on NYE to America. Luckily this a-hole fricked up and only killed himself

Could a hot battery cell ignite fireworks in the bed of truck?

Elon needs to add insulation if so

An EV will billow black smoke and that's not what was on video. The explosions came from in the cabin, not underneath where the battery is positioned.

Anyone who watched the video could see it was in the bed and then you could hear the fireworks going off after.

Not sure how that Turo App works but I’m pretty sure that’s the same rental company the NOLA truck was with correct?

Turo is person to person rental. Lie Airbnb for cars. I do it a lot as it is usually cheaper and better cars

Click on the video; it's queued to the right spot. It shows an EV in China going off, and it looks almost exactly like the video of the hotel explosion.
More than most likely they had a buttload of tannerite in the truck and we're hoping that when the terrorist shot the Tannerite that the explosive potential in the battery would cause a much larger explosion.

Except, it doesn't. The Vegas Cybertruck isn't billowing black smoke, there's no large flames coming up from underneath. Best I can see from the one short vid is that it starts in the car and there's audio which has whistles and sparkles, like a firework shell.

The truck was purposely detonated but those sparks were from the battery. Go play with lithium and get back to us about, it can't be debated.

I think the perps tried to make it out like a failure and used a small explosive to detonate and it punctured the battery. Hence, all of the sparkles! They failed in their tomfoolery, but the outcome was what they wanted.
