Making a SEP contribution tomorrow.

If you had to go all in on one stock or investment for 2025 what would it be? (Already heavily invested in Iraqi Dinar so I’ve got that one covered)

I’d short bitcoin calls using margin account.

It’s a sure thing.

I never short anything.

I haven’t been able to pull the trigger on any bitcoin investments. Good luck to those who do.

There’s a great thread on this already.
I’d go with RDDT, SOUN, or SOFI.

RDDT has really taken off. What you think of it a year from now?

I said that when I bought at $133 but it’s been healthy around $160-170.

Sorry, I don’t have a price target per se. I bought in my Roth thinking that the company could be several hundreds of billions market cap.

What I am buying heavy into this year:
BITO: Only through February ( goal is to get up to 100 shares and then drip for next 2 decades and bank in the dividends)
SOFI: Will pick up every week

I think I'll be adding NBIS to my retirement account soon.
This could be huge.
Look into the CEO, Arkady Volozh.

This may be my no. 1 pick for 2025.

loss making company with crazy valuations.

As of September 30, Nebius had no debt and a cash balance of $2.4 billion. Nebius Enterprise Value is a mere $1.5 billion.[/quote]
quote:

Nebius Group’s core business is an AI-centric cloud platform built for intensive AI workloads. With proprietary cloud software architecture and hardware designed in-house (including servers, racks, and data centre design), Nebius Group gives AI builders the computing, storage, and managed services and tools they need to build, tune, and run their models.

quote:

yaeah no, Russian guy

quote:

Nebius was previously called Yandex, a Russian version of Google. Before Russia started the war in Ukraine, Yandex's market capitalization peaked at USD31 billion in November 2021. After the start of the war, Yandex and its founder, Arkady Volozh, were under sanctions, and Yandex trading on the NASDAQ was halted. Yandex US trading was suspended. Volozh could have lived his life in Russia, letting his business prosper. Instead, he moved from Russia to Israel, sold the Yandex Russian business for $5.4 billion in cash and shares, denounced the war, and had all sanctions on him and Yandex lifted. He renamed Yandex Nebius, moved the seat to Amsterdam, and focused on new business building full-stack infrastructure to service the high-growth global AI industry. On October 21, 2024, Nebius shares restarted trading on the Nasdaq in the US.

Nebius specializes in data centres that house a large number of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to handle intensive computations often used for tasks like AI model training, data analysis, and rendering complex graphics.

Nebius's core operation is the state-of-the-art, wholly-owned Finnish data centre, which has ~14,000 GPUs paid for and deployed. By 2024, Nebius plans to employ 20,000 GPUs.

quote:

Nvidia is the leading provider of GPUs. The current model, H100, is the industry standard. The new model H200 is coming into production right now. On its Q3 call two weeks ago, Volozh announced that Nebius would be the first operator to get H200 supplies from Nvidia.

quote:

The 2025 outlook is bullish. The company plans to:

Spend between $600-$1500 million on CAPEX, primarily on core GPUs.
Grow revenues 3-4x to $500-$700 million and achieve Annual Recurring Revenues of $500-$1000 million at the year-end 2025.
Post positive adj EBITDA for the full year 2025.

quote:

crazy valuations

How on earth did you arrive at this? 1/3 of their current market cap is cash! They’ll continue to invest and grow.
quote:

Valuation summary
The above valuations can be summarized as follows:

Nebius core AI business $3.0 bln.
Subsidiaries $1.0 bln.
Non-core holdings $0.5 bln.
Cash $2.1 bln.
Our Nebius's Base Case Equity Value is $6.6 billion.

Our Base Case Equity Value of $6.6 billion, 1.7 times the current market capitalization of $3.9 billion (based on the current share price of $20.60). Therefore, our Target Price is $33 per share.

Yes Paul, a buy and hold.

From the SA analyst on 6 December:
quote:

Look at Citron´s post from this week on X (I reposted it below), who did an NBIS valuation based on Corewave multiples. Citron views Nebius's back-of-the-envelope valuation at USD 60 per share. We will reach this level next year unless there is significant market turmoil.

appreciate the response, looks promising.

negative 94MM profit and 7B dollar valuation sounds not so enticing.

but future growth looks promising.

For anyone who cares to read:
From Q3 earnings (NBIS)

quote:

The customer base expanded to over 40 managed clients in Q3 2024, up from 30 in Q2, with additions from the Fortune 500.
Nebius began executing its plan to invest over USD 1 billion(2) in AI infrastructure across Europe by mid-2025. In September 2024, Nebius announced the launch of a GPU cluster in Paris, which will become one of the first in Europe to feature NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs. Shortly afterwards, Nebius announced a major expansion of its data center in Finland to triple capacity to 75 MW by the end of 2025 or early 2026. This will enable Nebius to accommodate up to 60,000 GPUs(3) at this location alone, with annual revenue potential of over USD 1 billion at full capacity utilization.(4)
