I thought I wrote it down last year but I can’t find the paper?

Grill hot as heck for about 25 minutes, kill the fire and let it sit on hot grill for another 15. Take off and rest about 30 minutes under foil?

Does that sound about right for medium rare?

We celebrate primitive Christmas.

Aka, I don’t have one.

I would knock 5 minutes each off of your grill times.

That sounds right.

I think I was a little over done last year for my tastes anyway.

Thanks.

I just cooked one about 6.5 lbs. fire was about 400. I seared and moved to the side. Took about 50 minutes to get to 127. Pulled it and let it rest under foil to 135. Perfect med rare all the way through. It’s al,ost impossible to cook meat via time. Every piece of meat is different. You need either a probe or instant read. I had 3 meater probes in mine.

It came out good. We had 2 rare steak eaters that were pleased. I got a good medium rare out of the middle. Kids got the done thin ends…
