He has zero connection to everyday Americans. He has never lived that life and he doesn't want to. Eating shite food from McDonalds or spending ten minutes "working" at one or riding in a garbage truck means nothing. That's like saying riding in the cockpit makes you a pilot.

What he does is pandering. Taking a picture with a Big Mac and acting like you are in league with the common man is as fake as AOC going to the Met Gala and wearing a dress that says 'tax the rich' - she's the rich.

Trump's pandering is just like Hillary telling people that she carries hot sauce in her purse or Kamala acting like she's cooking greens in her bath tub. It's all fake. Trump has never worked a day in his life. He's never stood watch or painted a house or ran a delivery route. Everything is about his ego. Gavin Newsome is garbage and what did Trump say about him? "He was nice to me so I can't go after him."

If Trump was serious about wanting this country to be great, his ego wouldn't dominate everything he does, he'd hire the right people, he'd follow through on promises. This isn't rocket science. Look at his actions.

His track record of personnel decisions - worst in the history of our nation for a President.
His follow through is non-existent.
His willingness to dig in when there is resistance is non-existent.
The only time he's a fighter is on the campaign trail. We have 8 years now that prove this fact. What he wants is to be called Mr. President. He doesn't want to do the work of being President. He's proven this.
Campaigns like a lion, governs like a lamb.
The DNC had completely imploded by Jan 2017 and Trump resurrected it.

People know this country is being destroyed and want desperately for someone to be in charge that will fix that. Trump makes a lot of promises in that regard, but he doesn't deliver. And in return it's an endless series of excuses for him. Trump supporters absolutely refuse to hold him accountable for poor decisions. However, for those that criticize his poor decisions, all of a sudden they are bots or have TDS.

Adreessen said its a great gift Trump has to get thoughts of the power brokers and bounce it off a caddie or a waitress. People laugh about it.

He said I was out to dinner with some of the brightest in silicon valley lamenting Trump had won in 16 and complaining about what he was going to do with immigration.

The young waiter interjected and said he was the son of a naturalized Mexican and his father hated what was happening at the border. His dad did it the right way, he didnt take hand outs, and he thought these illegals were sullying the reputation of hard working legal immigrants. So he learned more about immigration from a waiter than all the smart minds in California.

I have always said the dumbest thing the Democrats ever did was come out against Trump the way they did in 2016.

He has no guiding principles by which he evaluates policy, so if they had kissed his arse and called him "The Great Uniter" or some such thing they could have gotten him to agree to all kinds of liberal stuff.

They still could to some extent, although I do think he's somewhat less susceptible now than he was then. Being shot will do that.
