I came home and found the child-proof bottle completely opened from the top. She's a 65 lb. Doberman.

I tried to induce vomiting with peroxide but I couldn't hold her, open her mouth and pour peroxide at the same time. I don't know a time line as to when she ingested it. I fed her pumpkin for dinner tonight (no kibble) anticipating she would have an upset stomach.

She's now thrown up 6 times, the last time being the smallest amount of vomit. She's pooped 3 times. This is since 6 p.m. this evening.

She's drinking water, and I am happy she is vomiting. She can't get comfortable, however. Wait time for Animal Poison Control is over 45 minutes to speak with someone.

I called a local emergency vet and they told me to call APC.

Any other suggestions?

Damn...sorry to hear that.

Are there any other local emergency vets you can call?

Best wishes for your dog to be okay

I’d take her to an emergency vet asap.

The people who answer the phone overnight at the emergency vet clinics (called two) are not allowed to give medical advice over the phone, and they redirected me to call APC.

Sounds like you are doing a good job of being proactive. Prayers for both of y'all.

Ok I thought you were another APer. Bring her to Sherwood Animal Hospital on Sherwoood Forrest. Not cheap but if my animal was in her situation that’s exactly where I’d head.

Years ago my dog had a bad emergency and we took him there. They’re not cheap but they saved his life that night.

The vet didn’t want you to bring the dog in? I know that aspirin can be rough on the kidneys

did they say they couldn't tell you anything without seeing her (so to call APC), or that they couldn't help her if you did bring her in?

I know that cost is not your motivator here, but the later you bring them to those places usually comes with extra charges.

sending you all of the e-love and good vibes I can... I know your heart's already been through the wringer as of late.

Go to LSU & see if they will give her some fluids
They will let you know costs upfront

Was going to edit my post, but I see you already suggested Sherwood animal emergency. It's 24 hours and toxin ingestion is listed on their website.

I don’t mean to be a dick, but I don’t understand how this is even a question. I’d be taking my dog to an emergency vet ASAP.

Hence the "Take her to the emergency vet clinic".

Don't call.. put her in the car and take her. Geez.

Straight to an emergency vet. Say goodbye to at least $500 but don’t risk it.
