The Harris-Trump debate

Probably the most insignificant presidential debate in history. We can be honest and say it wasn’t Trump’s best night, and Harris had come in extremely prepared. They declared it a huge victory and then people forgot about it a week later. The real debate was that first one between Biden and Trump; I think that’s when most people made up their minds that they were voting Trump.

Well, before I get to a response, I just want to start with I grew up in a middle class family.......

Debates are not significant in their current format. Trump exposed them. Sit down for a three hour podcast and discuss policy. That’s how you do it.

Most significant was Vance getting a proper introduction to the American public against Walz. Contrast is the mother of clarity.

IMO neither debate mattered. It's the fact that JB looked like a stroke patient and they lied for months about his health.

Vance did such a great job articulating Trump’s policy it superseded the presidential debate. People heard the differences.

He destroyed her to anyone with an ounce of intelligence.
The problem is a lack of intelligence, and the fact that everyone has had their mind made up for the last 8 years.

Voters have short memories. I think Trump iced it in the last two weeks before the election. Good things happened for him and bad things happened for her and that was fresh on the minds of voters.
That's why I've said for years that anything over two weeks for early voting is stupid.

I can’t stress enough how bad it was for her to stand there making faces the whole time. She looked like an unserious clown.

She was obviously very practiced but Kamala didn’t come off well. The 3 on 1 was a turn off.

I actually thought the debate is when she began to lose the election. Every moderate, independent and undecided watched and said she purposely avoided answering a single question. She may have won on style and temperament but she showed she had no substance. People watched that and said they at least know Trump’s positions and had lived under 4 years of his presidency.

You mean the debate that was 3 against 1??

Harris was prepared but she should have been. She had the questions.
On the debate, the reason many on Trump's side didn't feel great after was only because they were expecting a decisive victory. They wanted him to finish her. Those on her side thought she won just because she didn't embarrass herself. It was all based on expectation.

She answered all questions with a pre-planned speech, regardless of what the question was. They even ran a commercial where I live in which the entire commercial was her answer to a question, that was it. Just a 30 second stump speech. At first in the debate she seemed coherent, but then it became quite obvious that she had just memorized a long speech and was giving it in short bursts.

Pretty much what she did on the Fox interview that she got killed on. Didn’t answer any questions and went into memorized speeches.

That's because the Dem kingmakers needed her to keep the appearance of being a candidate in order to fleece as much money out of donors possible. She never wanted this job because she knew she would be in over her head.. She was able to get some celebs big checks that way she has someone relevant to hang out with after her political ship sails...

I think the Harris debate really turned a lot of people off to her. It was so blatantly rigged in her favor and she obviously had the script beforehand
