Since it seems like most of the ire around "illegal" immigrants is asylum seekers.

What do we want changed in our current asylum system and process?

Should we stop taking in any asylees? Do we make it extremely difficult for anyone to seek asylum here? Should they not be allowed entry until their court case processes?

What about existing open cases? Should we just close em all? Process them through?

They have to be on U.S. soil to apply for asylum. Not allowing them to step on to U.S. soil would be a good first step

The asylum program has been hijacked. You shouldn’t be able to seek asylum just because your countries economic prospects suck.

They are supposed to seek asylum in the first country the get into. Not walk across 3 countries to get to the US border and ask for asylum.

I've sent this posted numerous times about is this true?

I know it is if you arrive at Canada first then come to us or vice versa but outside of that do we have any other safe third agreements with central or South American countries?

Yes it’s true. Thats one of the many reasons people are pissed about all the illegals here.

Keep up.

I don’t know how to change it, but the asylum situation is definitely broken. Holding up a sheet of paper given to you with the word “asylum” printed on it should not be enough to give you a lifetime pass into the US (because you will never have to go to your court hearing in 5 years)

The issue is fricked from all sides. In her situation going back to Cuba is terrible and waiting in Mexico was dangerous and forced her to give herself up

No. I’ve got the answer to your question. If you don’t believe it, research it and prove I’m wrong.

No more asylum. All unresolved cases are extinguished - you must leave. Anyone granted asylum during the Biden years must go back. Anyone that entered during the Biden years must go back. There is nothing legitimate from the Biden administration. When you attempt to destroy the nation, your actions are nullified.

Pass random nobody. I've googled and found nothing except it's not required. Unless there are agreements in place between us and other countries for it such as Canada....

After some research folks the only safe third agreement we have in place nearby is Canada so no legal requirements for first country they enter to seek asylum there.
