Was there a specific hit or drop or something that rattled him? It was a tale of 2 halves obviously. But he was missing badly in second half and receivers didn’t help much. Throwing for 50 times a game and the law of averages will catch up to you.

Zero run game doesn’t help. Highest runner was 23 yards?!? WTH

Special teams especially atrocious. LSU should have been up 23-7 at half.

He’s never started a football game in front of a crowd like that. Looked that rattled him big time in the 2nd half. Hopefully he will grow from this. I honestly can’t remember us having a quarterback performance where we threw three touchdowns within the 30 yard line. It’s a tough pill to swallow.

It’s time to put some respect on Kyle field.
I know it’s hard bc muhDeathValley, but our team was completely lost and rattled for most of the second half bc of the noise

He looked like exactly who he's always been. Do y'all not remember him coming into games after Jayden and throwing picks?

Russ is weak because he can't run the ball himself, he has slow feet and can not avoid the pass rush. Then he throws the ball up for grabs instead of grounding the ball.

Nothing happened. Playing a higher level of talent feasted on the poor decisions he has gotten away with against lesser teams

Our first-round right tackle was a revolving door.

Our supposedly elite OL is playing terrible
Not opening holes and not protecting Nuss’ pocket

That's Nuss. He presses and throws risky passes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Maybe there was more to the foot than we saw but he's been this guy all season.

He completely freaked out last night though even more than normal. He flushed the pocket almost immediately because he was scared. He doesn’t stick his nose in there like Burrow which is why he sits on the ball and doesn’t run when it’s wide open. Scared.

Nuss didn't operate in a vacuum. The whole team seemed to implode after that disastrous FG attempt in the third quarter. A&M put in a new QB, scored a quick TD, Nuss threw a pick, and it was lights out from there

He’s no threat to run the ball. He’s one dimensional and easy to intimidate.

Really honestly the coaching staff got rattled with the new A&M QB

In addition coming up empty in the first half with so many misses, LSU should have scored 17 more points in first half

I also believe the foot getting stepped on at the end of first half bothered him, he seemed to roll out of the pocket to the right most of the 2nd half

The first interception might've got to him. It really started out well. He escaped pressure, and rolled for more time, but he rolled to the left. He's good on the run, rolling to the right. But not as natural on the run, rolling to the left.
His accuracy and arm strength are not as good on the run to the left. Then the throw became more difficult because Anderson was actually running up the field and away from him to get open. Given the circumstances, it would've been better to run back toward the QB. But that's something that gets developed with a QB with time and experience.
The throw on the run to the left involves a lot of body contortion. It's a difficult throw that's not natural for many guys. Knowing this, the throwaway is an option. In other similar scenarios, if there's time and space to adjust from running to step into a throw, that's going to be better for the accuracy and arm strength on the throw. But that contortion throw on the run to the left is not a strength in his passing repertoire right now, especially to a receiver running upfield and to the right.
It's possible to get better at the contortive part of the throw on the run, but that's more of an offseason improvement, and something that could get better with core training.
The elusion of the pressure was really good, though.

The second interception was something that was bound to happen sooner or later with as many passes out near the sidelines like that there are in the offense. And it happened at an inopportune time on the road.

The last one was a good play by York. I don't think Nussmeier saw what York was doing. Otherwise he would've rolled to the right. There would've been time and space because York abandoned the pass rush and went for the RB.

Games like this happen sometimes. The key is bouncing back from the adversity.
