Why to believe in God?

Most of us are atheistic towards Iroquois gods, Viking gods, Greek gods, Hindu Gods, etc.
Some of us just take our atheism one god further.

Being philosophical after smoking weed has become a cliché.

Do or don't. No one actually cares, nor do they come to the OT seeking spiritual guidance... unless they are retarded.

Not believing is easier than believing.

What's it going to hurt to believe? You live a decent life, be a good person and you go to Heaven. Doesn't sound too bad. What's it going to hurt to believe that's going to happen? Sure someone way more spiritual can give this long drawn out answer, but there's the short and sweet version.

Jesus would be the only reason. Either you believe in his life and mission or you don’t. He gave enough ‘proof’ by his life’s doings as God embodied as human. If that’s not good enough, then that’s a choice you have to make.
Who knows how stories and scripture has been doctored over the ages and maybe glorified. There lies the biggest mystery.

There’s a difference in man-made gods & the one true God.
Better to believe & be wrong, then not believe & be wrong for eternity

Well I believe in Jesus and after reading the whole bible twice, I have come to the conclusion there was two “Gods” in the Bible.
The one in the Old Testament and the real God Jesus in the New Testament. Also the snake in the garden was the first time Jesus came to earth. The tree of knowledge was actually the knowledge that the God walking around the garden was really satan.
The best trick Satan has pulled on humanity.

Some of us use our faculties of logic and reason to way the merits of all of them, including atheism. Why do you believe everything came from nothing? Laws of energy and thermodynamics are in direct contradiction with atheism. The Big Bang Theory evens points a "Beginning". Which coincidentally is how the Bible starts.

Your god is determined by the laws you follow....if you claim to have no god, then the state is your god, and they all base their laws from instructions from god or gods...so in reality, you do have a god or gods depending on what country you live in, you just didn't know it.

Study prophecy and you will see. Such much has come true and is in the process of coming true.

Not sure if serious. Because that concept doesn't make sense.

That is a less elegant rephrasing of Pascal's wager. The flaw I have always seen in it is it doesn't address real belief and the need for faith. I think most people that were atheists and employ Pascal's wager are doing the less sexy thing and just living a good life which doesn't help them meet the criteria of access to heaven.
