Why do people put tint on their brake lights?

Oh look my cars looks so cool no one can tell when I am stopping. With how terrible drivers are why would you want this? Maybe I am just getting old.

Same reason they insist on illegal tint. Because they are "too cool for rules".
Remember when you were 14 and your parents told you that you were not allowed to do something and it just made you want to do it more? Well, many of those idiots never grew up out of that stage. They do not understand that what they do can cause serious problems.

In the early 90’s the thing to do was to put tint covers over all front and rear lights. I never understood it, but I had friends that paid good money for the covers
