Colt Gray was given the gun he used to shoot dead four people at his Georgia high school as a Christmas present from his father months after they were questioned by the FBI over alleged threats.

Dad is not too bright.

Kid got the cops called on him a while back for threatening to shoot up a school
FBI asks dad if he has access to family guns - dad says no
Kid moves.
..
..
..
Dad buys potential school shooter an AR-15 for Christmas?
Dad's not on ANY kind of list when purchasing a new assault weapon, considering the FBI knows his son has made threats?

I’m not a gun control freak but I’ll admit when something is fricked up and no father has any business giving his child a fricking AR-15. He deserves death just as much as his son does.

I thought the family was questioned this past May?
The kid missed the last couple of days of middle school once he was identified as a threat, then authorities forgot about him, and he shoots up his high school a few months later.

I’m all in favor of the dad getting a worse sentence than the son.
And for the records, I hope the son never sees the outside of a prison again.

Sounds like dad knew his kid was crazy and did nothing about that, but give him a weapon.

What about a typical hunting rifle like a 3006?
The kid was a stupid frick and needs execution.

Given the situation, you don't allow a kid who has made these type threats in the recent past free access to any gun.

To pile on, there’s no way you don’t know your kid doesn’t have some sort of screw loose. Why would you give him guarded razor much less an assault rifle?
