Is there anyone that covers LSU better than Hunt Palmer?

I don’t think Hunt gets enough love on here. I’d say that compared to other local BR media, Hunt is in a class of his own. I’ve been listening to his show almost everyday for a couple of years now and I know that he’s always going to give the most rational level headed takes out there. He’s got a new segment called, “Meet the Freshmen” where he does a deep dive on a few first year guys on the football team that has been awesome. Hunt, if you’re reading this, keep up the great work!

I agreed with you here, I love T-Bob’s raw enthusiasm and think he’s got great energy. I was very surprised that he offered to cut his n*ts off if Derek Carr doesn’t finish as a top 10 QB this season. Hester has solid commentary and definitely balances out T-Bob

He is good knowledge-wise but whenever he makes a point he always does it in 3’s. Starting to drive me nuts. For example, he’ll say something like, “I don’t know if LSU is better than Alabama. I don’t know if they’re better than Ole Miss. I don’t know if they’re better than A&M.”
He does it constantly. I don’t know if he does it to kill time but it is annoying.

Hunt is my favorite guy on the radio, his biggest downfall is he comes at this with football as the sport he has the shallowest understanding. He is much more attuned to basketball and baseball. But he has admitted that from day one and has worked to gain greater understanding.
He is very logical in his approach and measured in his responses to various things. He does the best job that I have seen of being objective while still being a fan (except where the Cubs are concerned).

The rule of 3 is a public speaking “rule.” If you want to give examples of something, it’s pleasing to the listener to hear 3. Not sure of the science behind it but it’s definitely a taught thing.
Now Hunt does probably use that rule too much. He uses it as kind of a crutch. But in his defense, talking to yourself on the radio is kind of hard.
