His last 6 or 7 starts have been against top half hitting teams. He’ll have an opportunity to really shine against Seattle next week.

Skeenes pitched 122 innings for LSU last year which was far and away the most he pitched in his college career.
He's about at that number now combined minors and majors this year.
There is some thought that once you reach that number and start pitching above what you've pitched ever before there can be some drop-off in this regard. But I do think it's a case-by-case thing and not necessarily a given.

not dogging on Skenes at all, but how does your team having no offense in baseball qualify why you gave up 4 runs. This isn't football and getting bad field position. If he lost 1-0 I get it, but 4 runs in 6 is not that great. He has been GREAT all year. Wasn't his day.....great year so far....and he is a superstar in the making.

Dude is a great pitcher. All of them have a bad day every now and then.
