Former Louisville football coach Steve Kragthorpe died Sunday night, according to Louisville and LSU spokespeople.

Kragthorpe, 59, had previously been on LSU's coaching staff as the Tigers' offensive coordinator. But when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2011, he stepped down to move into an analyst role

My mom has it. She's almost 77. She doesn't have the real bad type with a bunch of shaking, but her muscles are weak, she falls all the time, you can barely hear her talk. She's went down a bunch in the last year or two. It's going to get where she can't swallow at some point.

Coach K was one of the best humans I've met. Especially in coaching. Was a class act that cared about people first. He will be missed.

Get her home health therapy. Physical, speech and occupational can provide benefit to her. Great neurologist at OSU told me he wants his Parkinson’s patients to get as much therapy as possible to slow the decline.
