We will be in Chicago next week for 6 days. It's our last vacation before school starts. We have two boys ages 6 and 8. Both of them are into cars, especially the muscle car scene. We are planning to spend a couple of days in the Detroit area visiting various car museums, including the Henry Ford museum. What are some kids friendly things we can do in Chicago the rest of the trip? Riverwalk, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Sears Tower are already on our list.

They might be old enough for the field museum across from soldier field

The dinosaur exhibit would be neat for that age

Museum of Science and Industry. It's amazing and has a full size German U-Boat. The Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, and Field Museum are also really nice. If you have a yearly pass at a local zoo or aquarium, they may have reciprocal admission.

We took our girls to the American Girl flagship, but boys definitely wouldn't be into that. ??

We really enjoyed the Shedd Aquarium but it's been at least 13 years. Can't imagine it's not the same or better today.

I'd say the Bean, which is pretty cool, but how good are you at blocking homeless?

See if you can buy advance tickets online to them. You may have trouble just walking up for a place like the Shedd or Adler.
