Solid backup that can spot start.

Solid depth big. Now go get Paul Reed

I feel like at this point, they're accepting the offers just aren't there for BI and they're not gonna force a bad trade. So we're gonna try to lock BI into a more reasonable deal, to move him down the line.
So signing a few lower-tier centers like Theis and Reed is probably all we'll be able to do at this point. We upgraded one of the two weak spots on our roster (PG), so hopefully we can address the other down the road.

I like this. Theis is a good fit in a backup role for us. He's a decent player, tough, hard nosed, can do a lot of things to help on a minimum contract.
He is not a full time starter on a team like ours. Still need to find a starter.
But its a good move.

They fricked up letting Jonas go at $10 million a year.

It's a good move if he's your third big.

Yeah I dont mind it but the guy was rotting on the bench for 2 teams last year.

That’s our starting centre people!

True, they obviously have more work to do, but its a start. Adding Paul Reed if they can would help. Trade for a starter.

People need to accept that the coaching staff/front office has a different vision for the center position...Doesn't make sense to spend money on a guy who the coach doesn't want to play in key spots.

Maybe the coach is the problem.

Solid backup center, averaged 18 MPG over the past 3 seasons, 7.1 pts, 4.3 reb, .8 blk, .4 stl.
To compare him to Nance over the past 3 seasons:
21 MPG, 6.5 pts, 5.3 reb, .4 blk, .9 stl.
Hopefully similar production at a reduced price.

If you say so. At the end of the day the vast majority of playoff teams started a better defensive option at center than we did. I have no issue with the team trying to upgrade at that spot, as much as I like JV and value some of the things he can do.
