Tatum is being bailed out bigly by his teammates (and the Mavs role players)

If this series was even 1-1 he’d be getting eviscerated for the fact that he’s been, at best, the 6th best player in this series so far.
Just another example of how narratives often don’t matchup with reality. Hes exactly who every critic said he was but history isn’t going to reflect that.

Who gives a frick? His team is up 2-0. If he had gone for 60 in both games, they’d still only be up 2-0.

Tends to happen when you’re trying to win games yourself. Jokic had plenty such games before Denver got him the extra help.
Doncic is clearly the best player in this series, and it’s not close at all. The problem for Dallas is the next 5 best players so far play for Boston.

His shooting isn’t there but he’s breaking the Mavs defense down almost every possession and getting good looks for everyone else. Also doing the dirty work on the defensive end and crashing the glass.

Has he been great so far, obviously not, but goddamn this is some salt son. Your team just needs to win 4 out of the next 5, maybe focus on that instead of randomly bashing a guy who's team is actually winning.

Tatum had 18 points, 12 assists and 9 rebounds. The best thing about Tatum is he makes the players around him better.
