Quarterback Jayden Daniels went four spots ahead of former LSU teammate Malik Nabers in the draft. He's also counting on finishing ahead of him when it comes to being named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year. Otherwise, it could cost him $10,000.
Daniels and Nabers have a bet on who will win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, which Nabers first mentioned on "The Pivot" podcast with Ryan Clark. Daniels confirmed the wager during an interview on the "All Facts No Brakes" podcast with Keyshawn Johnson on Wednesday. It could be a short-lived wager
quote:
"Man, he wasn't supposed to tell nobody," Daniels said of the bet. "We got a little something going on."
Daniels also confirmed that it was for "10" when asked by Johnson after Nabers had said "whoever lose gotta pay, I think it's $10,000 cash."

However, there's a good chance the bet doesn't happen. One team source said the education for rookies on the gambling policy will take place during their rookie minicamp, which begins Thursday with orientation sessions. The bet could end up being cancelled afterward.

Knowing Goodell that's probably a four game ban at least

Dumb bet on Nabers part.
It will go to a QB
It will go to a QB

I get the gambling policy but it sounds like something they just had between each other, not with a casino or gambling site.

Rookie mistake to even think about verbalizing that. Getting shut down for sure

These guys were once teammates with Kayshon Boutte. Gordon’s money being put to good use

4 QBs and 3 WRs have won the award the last 10 years, 2 of the receivers from LSU. I wouldn't necessarily call the bet dumb.

Well, you have to also consider that Daniel Jones is the quarterback

Well yea, I'd love to see either win, but both have good chances at winning the award. Nabers about the only decent target on that pitiful Giants offense, which will provide him a lot of opportunity

2 of last 3 years went to WR
Chase and Beckham both got offensive ROY from us at WR in NFL

I think you have it exactly backwards.
The award most frequently goes to WRs.

Nah. He's in a great spot for that kind of bet.

It is against league policy for players/coaches to bet on football. Doesn’t matter if a friendly bet between friends.

I get having strict rules on gambling but this doesn't have any room for abuse or conflict of interest.

Watch my man BTJ run away with it.
