FYI- the bill that passed yesterday doesn’t criminalize or disallow this.

There is a fine line between free speech and just being a good member of society.
Some stuff just cannot happpen. These protests are stupid.

Sounds as though you’d have thrived in 1930s/40s Germany.
(I haven’t read the bill ftr and vehemently oppose anything resembling hate-speech laws. Protecting hate speech is a foremost job of the 1A.)

Can you show us where it criminalizes speech? Honest request.

Let's be specific.
Should someone be able to say out loud that they hate Jews and think it would be a good idea to rid them from this world.
Yes. The First Amendment protects that speech.
Should someone be able to protest, block access, takeover and demand things from universities, threaten Jews, assault Jews?
No. Those people should be punished harshly.
The law, quite literally, states that it would be illegal to say Israel is committing genocide.
Agree with the statement or not, that's not relevant... We how have a law that states you can't criticize another government. Your freedom is being taken away. Some posters are applauding that loss of freedom.

I fail to see a problem with the first amendment in all of this

Want to actually make a coherent retort instead of programmed drivel??
And bonus question… are you going to wear your hijab and pray to Allah right up until you pick up your pride flag for June?? Or are you going to take a week in between??
Sucks to be you.

Where in the 1st amendment does it say you have the right to violently occupy?

Are you referring to the students on college campuses occupying space and not allowing for normal activities on the campus?
But that was diffe(R)ent.

The University of Texas is not a company, and it is not private. It is a public university in the state of Texas supported with both state and federal tax dollars.

So violently occupying is free speech now? Gotcha..
I guess all the people arrested on Jan 6th should be released now huh?

If this is true, then it’s prima facie invalid.

You have white women and beta leftist males, who call themselves everything but heterosexual, bowing to Allah now. I think you have the wrong group to be calling “ball gargling”.
Yes… we will be much better served by complete idiots who are openly exercising the rituals of Islam this month and will be waiving pride flags and actually ball gargling next month. That’s MUCH better

These protests are stupid.
Your "stupid" protest may be a meaningful protest to someone else. That's how the First Amendment was drafted, to protect some of the most heinous speech you could imagine.
The cure to speech you find abhorrent is more speech ... not less.
