They are but they are a late addition to the club and didn't have a single final four appearance until the 60s.

You keep making yourself look like an idiot. So either adjust your timeframe to fit your narrative of hatred towards all things Arkansas basketball, or stop posting about a 30 year timeframe.
Arkansas the last 30 years has...
1 National Title
2 National Title Games
2 Final Fours
4 Elite Eights
6 Sweet Sixteens
16 NCAA Tournaments

Arkansas has history going back to the 40s.
It isn't as deep as the other programs but it has been handcuffed due to Arkansas being a football school during the 60s and not putting as much money into the program as they should have.
For example they paid Houston mediocre Nutt more money than national champion Nolan Richardson.

Why would he want the Baylor job? They've had a great coach in Drew and still a grand total of one good year
You realize what Drew walked into, right? They had only made one tournament before he got there and were dealing with a major scandal. Just in case you don't: Baylor Basketball Scandal - 2003
Baylor started getting significantly better around 2010 and landing big-time recruits around the same time. Drew had top athletes playing a funky zone, but in the mid-2010's switched to the no-middle man defense which basically changed his coaching identity. They had four 3 seeds in between 2010-2017. In the last four years, they've had two 1 seeds and two 3 seeds.
Beard probably wouldn't see Baylor as a step up and could wait another year for a bigger/better job to open, but Baylor could go after someone like Jerome Tang who was an assistant at Baylor under Drew for 18 years before going to K-State.

How are we defining “good years” ?

It makes sense considering Arkansas could have hired another Stan Heath or John Pelphrey.

Pulling a reverse Eddie Sutton, who was fired after 4 years and ended up getting Kentucky on probation.

Apparently elite 8s don’t count. Only national titles.
