It is, to a certain point.
It’s all interspersed on that end of 30A. There is stuff in Alys that according to the post office is Inlet. End of the day it’s all 32413 zip so it’s basically semantics.
Nope it’s 32459 in Seagrove and 32413 starts in Seacrest.
Blee dat.

The idea that 30A is a shite hole is hilarious and the mirror image of the people who went once and have the sticker.
Both are just ridiculous camps of people

Yes. We average 6-10 trips a year and are planning on getting a place there.
95% percent of the time (not peak vacation weeks) it's quiet and wonderful. We're always there for Thanksgiving and Christmas and it's awesome.
There is not a nicer, more scenic place the same distance in any direction from home (Mandeville).
We only go to Rosemary. Seacrest is definitely more PCB-like with the crowds, especially in comparison to Rosemary and Alys.

Staying in Rosemary Beach right now . This is the 3rd year we have come for the week after Easter. It’s crazy crowded and covered with teens. Took us an hour and 20 minutes to drive 7 miles from our spot to Seaside. It’s been an adventure not running over kids on bikes

They got wild again yesterday apparently.
PCB: Facebook: video of huge crowd in PCB

Seaside, Florida SEASIDE Curfew Update We have been working closely with the Walton County Sheriff's Office, and tonight, beginning at 6:45 PM, the Sheriff's Office will not allow unsupervised groups of minors into our community without parents.
Might be time to call in air support

Shithole, no.
Overrated, yes.
The Facebook comments are funny, though - one woman is saying they should tear gas them.

Sounds good to me. I hope the local PD really turn into nazis and put a stop to it.

Never at any point in my younger days did I become a part of some giant mob. What happened to getting a condo/house with some friends and hanging out and drinking beer?
Kids these days are just fricked up

I'm telling you guys, Jax is a hidden gem if you just want to go to the beach and maybe do some fishing.
The town of Jax Beach consistently votes down proposals to increase the maximum height of buildings, so companies wanting to develop huge Panama City type condos there can't. The beaches are great and not even 1/4th as crowded as a place like Panama.

Social media makes it easier to find out where the crowd is as opposed to having to do it organically.

I never wanted to clothesline so many people in my life.
It was never a dangerous mob, though, just a bunch of obnoxious teens (actual teens).
The food trucks at the town square were sure willing to take all their money - if they really wanted them out they wouldn't take any money.

No they just want what previous generations had and is being denied to them: a Cancun/ PCB circa 1995 type destination to go get drunk and party with their friends.
Daytona: ended spring break crowds
PCB: ended spring break crowds
Miami Beach: ended spring break crowds
Myrtle Beach: ?
It’s hypocritical for parents and adults who partied like it was MTV TRL era Spring Break to act like these kids are way out of line, they just don’t have any place to party anymore.

I just can’t figure it out. It’s like a haven for bad parenting . Kids are super young with no adult supervision. Like parents have to be somewhere right? In Rosemary last night it was much better as cops dispersed any crowds hanging around a storefront.
This area is a perfect spot for my family and my kids 3,7,9. We stay in a condo that doesn’t allow guests with easy access to an awesome pool and private beach and at night we can walk to a bunch of different restaurants and after dinner grab some sweets and listen to live music . It’s become a pretty great family vacation spot for the kids out of school for the week.

This is Atlanta spring break week.
A large percentage of 30A rentals are owned by people in Atlanta.
Those owners ship their kids off for spring break to use $5-$10M rental homes this week and the kids who show up are wealthy, unafraid of getting kicked out of their home and looking to socialize.
Its a seasonal thing and will pass starting next week.

IMO it's not overrated if it's what you're looking for. It's touted as having some of the most upscale beach areas for families in the country and I'm not sure how anyone could realistically disagree with that.
We're rarely there for SB or peak Summer so I haven't seen the stuff people are talking about this week in a while.
