By "grifter", do you mean someone who voices an opinion or says controversial things for money? Do mean someone who tries to shape the opinions of others? Do you mean someone like Rush Limbaugh? He was a big time conservative influencer.
It's one of many words that have lost their meanings, either by stupidity or intentionally.
A grifter is a con man or a swindler. When I started to see on-line "influencers" or social media voices being labeled as grifters, it seemed most of them were being accused of being fake - or taking on a persona and opinions that were not their own to make money in the online sphere.
But it is now being applied to ANYONE who is online spouting opinions, especially those that are very popular or have lots of followers, etc. Most of these people are in no way grifters, by any known definition.

How naïve do you have to be to think there's some sort of perfect good republican script that, if only everyone followed, Republicans would be painted in a positive light by the media
I have no idea, but that also has nothing to do with believing that the right’s internet “personalities” are collectively an obnoxious hinderance to good messaging.

Theyre creating narratives and telling you approved opinions. Most of its bullshite.
Crowder has been attacked by politicians, the MSM, and big tech. Who exactly is approving Crowder's opinion? Who is approving Tucker's opinion?
Please list the people that tell Crowder and Tucker what they can say since these 2 guys are running their own companies on platforms that are not currently known for censorship.

You’ve seen that because every single person who makes a living giving their opinions on the internet, or in media generally, is in fact a fake piece of shite.
Every single one of them are just saying whatever they thing will win them clicks and thus money.
Hasn’t everyone always known that?

quote:Define Grifter. Is that someone who doesn't agree with you and has the courage to say and do what really needs to be done - without fear of being blackballed from "the club"??
They make the GOP look like idiots it’s nothing but grifters who try to say the most shocking things and are 24/7 outraged.

Define Grifter.
Someone who spouts bullshite they either know to be total bullshite or don’t actually believe on the internet with the sole intention of making themselves more money or obtain more attention.
That accounts for about 90% of political blue checks on both sides.

To be fair, Tucker has admitted to the above while working for Fox News.
He is free from that managerial control right now. But he has explicitly admitted to repeating things on air that he knew was false.

The test is simple: if an individual is giving their “opinion” and their personal income or worth is substantially tied to the amount of clicks or views their opinion gets, they aren’t worth paying attention to.

Yup Shapiro is the worst of them

Ever notice that Grifters are Grifters until they're vindicated?

I think dealing in absolutes is always stupid.

Perhaps. But I have no patience for pundits or blue checks or influencers.
Total drain on society in every field they exist in.

The MAGA crowd who call anyone who doesn’t think Trump is the best thing ever for the party “Ron-bots” are the worst thing for the GOP. They literally want to destroy and polarize the Republican Party and then they wonder why Biden has a chance in this election.

The GOP has been the worst thing for the GOP for over 30 years.
Posted on 3/27/24 at 5:00 pm to RaoulDuke504
If someone on tv or the internet influences you, you are weak.
Posted on 3/27/24 at 5:01 pm to RaoulDuke504
Only influencers the democrats have are comedians from what I can see.
