re: Insurance- how long to make a decision of a wrecked vehicle is totaled?

It’s a long story but basically after four months I would like the vehicle totalled. After numerous back and fourths with the insurance company and body shop plus many supplements submitted, we are about 10% short of the number for the vehicle being totaled. I’m sure once they take the vehicle apart to repair they will find more damage that will put the total repair cost over the threshold but the insurance company doesn’t think they can get much at a salvage sale to make it cost effective for them.

Can I just offer them some money to maybe meet in the middle of that 10% gap for them to total ? I’m just tired of waiting and want it behind me.
