It's ridiculous. After 3 years of law school, you can't pass the minimum proficiency, then 500 hours of "Internship" is not going to help. An idiot is an idiot is an idiot and has no business trying to represent people.

So, just like with voter ID, blacks are just too fricking stupid to figure it out? This seems to be a consistent argument of the left.

According to The Spokesman-Review, after appointing the task force in 2020 to assess “disproportionate impacts on examinees of color and first-generation examinees,” the courts agreed to substitute the exam with “experiential-learning alternatives.”

Good luck idiots lol
You can still have all these other bullshite courses and programs, but I thought the bar and other professional exams like it were to ensure you learned the things you needed to to do the job correctly and competently.
We should get rid of drivers tests and just have people complete drivers ed. We can then assume that everyone has learned everything they need to to keep themselves and others on the road safe.

The bar exam isn't to prepare you to be a laywer. It's to make sure you know the right shite.

Everyone in that picture is a disingenuous piece of shite.

The eligibility to become a licensed law practitioner will also extend to law clerks even if they haven’t finished law school by completing 500 hours of work as a licensed legal intern and “completing standardized educational materials and benchmarks under the guidance of a mentoring attorney.”

This isn't so bad actually.
I’m in partial agreement with you there.
The only way it’s bad is if everyone is pushed through those hours and credits. If you can’t “fail” anyone going through it because of “reasons,” it’s not a good program. I’m sure the state will get some money from it, though!

You get to choose your lawyer

Really, so if I don’t like the lawyer at the revenue department or other government agency, I can request another one? Good information.

Except for the poorest criminal defendants who are generally stuck with an assigned public defender

yeah, they are already getting the shite end of the stick though.
If you hire an idiot to be your lawyer, who is the real idiot?
The people that made this ruling were all lawyers at one point, so was the bar preventing idiots from practicing law before?
