I believe another argued that the impact on BR by StG incorporating means that it should be blocked.


Just going off my memory, but I think a big part of the problem was St. George didn't include specifics on how they were going to fund the government in their original Petition so the Petition itself was declared invalid.

LASC website shows March 22, 2024 as tentative opinion date (for 2023-2024 session).

Problem is that the petition got enough signatures, got approved by the state, signed off by the governor, and then won their election.

Kinda fricking late to toss it 4+ years after the election when that wasn’t even an argument in the suit IIRC.
