the wheel of a Delta Boeing 757 just flew off while it was preparing to take off at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The wheel then rolled down the runway...

could have been catastrophic if it happened a few seconds later

What a coincidence...not too long ago they came out with a new policy that fatties don't have to pay for an extra seat...now this shite.

This one isn't Boeing's fault.

Boeing used to be a reputable company when it was ran by engineers… now it’s run by Wall Street investors who prioritize profit over safety. The airline industry needs to eliminate DEI altogether or we’re bound to have another major airline catastrophe.

Man, I am 100% committed to NOT flying anymore unless for some kind of emergency i can't foresee. Had a trip planned to Orlando with airfare, and nowwwwwwwww i'm gonna be driving after all these absurd changes.

if i can select my pilot or see them before I buy a ticket? fine. but there's a LOT more than just pilots that make this shite so dangerous. the minimal bar is seeing my pilot prior to ticket purchase.

Are they using the DEI process to hire mechanics?

I'm sure that wasn't the original wheel/tire and has likely been changed several times. It's Delta's jawb to put the lug nut on.

They’ve gone from “If it ain’t Boeing I ain’t going” to “If it’s a Boeing I ain’t going.”

I realize this is likely a Delta maintenance issue but it will rub off on Boeing.

Come on guys we know how to do this shite, get it together.

I had aircraft blow a tire on the runway, but never just come off like that. A T-38 came in hot once did an overhead with a left break and he hit the runway and the tire blew. To have a tire just straight fall off during taxi. That is new.
