quote:because Vince Young was a terrible thrower of the ball with a bad shot put arm motion. From all the videos I've seen, this kid is a very polished passer for his age.
Comparisons to Vince Young are bad
Why ?

He is on par with Trevor Lawrence and vince young.
I was never that impressed with Lawrence in college. And I said he's gonna be a middling quarterback in the NFL, and here we are.

What did Vince do in the NFL?

He's up there with Jimmy Clausen, Russel Shepherd and Brock Berlin.

Vince Young also was in high school before the modern era of offensive football. He compares to VY based on his arm strength/size/ and athletic ability combination

I saw him throw for 350 yards and three touchdowns against Alabama in a national championship game. If that didn't impress you, then nothing is ever going to impress you.

Jamarcus was the very next year. I don't think anyone will doubt that Jamarcus Russell knew how to throw a football.

So because they have different throwing motions their athletic ability and football play making abilities can’t be similar?
Vince Young was a 3,000 yard passer/1,000 yard runner with a 65% completion percentage way before spread offenses took over college football.
He was plenty the passer for the college level and did it well. He was 18th in the country in passing yards while also running for over 1,000 in 2005.
So because VY threw the ball like a shot put, he shouldn’t have put up the numbers he did, should he?
What’s that have to do with being a GREAT college QB?

At least someone gets it.

He wasn't bad, but he's no Joe Burrow.

Is Bryce better than George McIntyre?
Well, I will put it this way. McIntyre worried me about injuries. He is 6'6" and 182 lbs. This is Miles Brennan all over again.
Underwood is 6'3.5" and 205 lbs...

A generation isn't technically 10 years. But the memory of high school recruits is only about 10 years. So underwood and Lawrence would be the best highschool quarterbacks that kid has seen growing up. It's just how it is.

Yes. And he is young for his class. Could be a '26 kid really.

i hate to say this but the qb we signed this year is gone next year

I don't say this lightly, but there's every reason to believe he will be better than Burrow.
A ridiculous comment. Let's let the guy actually play some college football before saying he will be better than Burrow, arguably the best college QB ever.

I'm just telling you man, this kid is insanely special. Obviously, he has to keep working once he gets to college, but his skill set is very rare and he'll have weapons galore surrounding him. This is the biggest recruit in the history of the program.

I'm a big fan of Underwood and do believe he's an elite qb prospect. That said, at one time this board thought Walker Howard was LA football Jesus so pardon me if the evaluations from this place doesn't exactly instill extreme confidence.

Your question seems suspect, at best.

He is better than Bart Star
