He will be used as a "bait" dog for teaching fighting dogs. It is horrible. I hope I'm wrong.

IMO they think they can sell a doodle for a good bit of money to someone

Real POS all around types.
They also steal "nice" large breed dogs to train the pit bulls how to kill. Know a guy who had an elderly golden retriever stolen and they caught the guy before he essentially served it up to his fighting dogs. Dog was returned thankfully, but that was the plan.
Additionally, that's an expensive breed of dog if it's not neutered (stud fees). He can probably sell it for $1,000 or more (if he lies about it being deaf and it's young, which I doubt he knew). Or he can stud it out.
That's why people steal French Bulldogs (see Lady Gaga)

Very planned, if you read deeper it says they only took the dog and then tossed the tracking collar a few miles away. The dog is older and deaf. Like wtf who wants to steal on old deaf dog??? Not like you can sell it to someone to breed or show.

I would bet the thief's goal is more on selling or breeding it than using it as a bait dog.
