Ingram...

Jury is still clearly out on what Pels should do with him after next year. The league is littered with guys like Lavine and Beal who got max money, but simply aren’t true max guys.

And our situation is a little different than the Celtics given Brown a max contract. At least in Boston, Tatum and Brown have proven to be a near championship foundation for a team. So even if that contract is a lot for Brown, they are at the precipice.

If we are being honest we are still waiting for proof of concept with Ingram and this roster.

The reality is elite center play is few and far inbetween. Despite Denver winning this is not a center driven league, it's about ball movement and spacing.

This team makes more sense to keep jv for what he can do and upgrade Nance to a defensive center to platoon. Shrink your rotation to 9 in the playoffs.

Cj
Jones
Ingram
Williamson
Valanciunas

Murphy
Hawkins
Daniels
Defensive center

That makes more sense than changing jv and Ingram for a guy like adebayo and Turner

Although 3 of the last 4 champions came from Giannis, Jokic, and Davis (doesn’t count, except in this case where it helps my argument).

Embiid and Philly have been right there. The current best team in the west has gobert and towns. Add wemby, Banchero, and potentially Chet and we may be seeing a big man renaissance at the top of the standings.
