Apparently things are great and hitting on all cylinders, so they've peaked so are going to close down to renovate and come back with a new menu/concept.

Actually, none of this is true.
The Red Hen is closing as The Red Hen in December and re-opening in January with a new name, menu, and interior.
They aren't going out of business because of any political reason or because business declined because of your kiddie-arse conservative martyr complex.
They're simply closing for a few weeks and re-branding. Same owners, same everything.
To this day, they still get death threats from conservatives who are upset they aren't getting their Martyrs of the Year Award.
