My dad is kind of elderly and feeble these days, and he took his truck in to change his transmission fluid at one of the local shops, and this mechanic tried to convince him that he needed an entirely new transmission, which was absurd. He simply took it to another place, and they changed his fluid, no questions asked.

Not all of these mechanics can be trusted.
