And the quality of their service will be commensurate with the low price. Every time. Those will be the agents who aren’t worth a shite, anyway, and are desperate for clients.
Most home sales don't require a ton of service. That of course changes for much pricer properties or those that have issues and sit. Most agents will return calls and set up showings the service isn't that complicated. The ones that are good and earn the % are few and far between.

The several times I've had to list in the past 10 years or so, I would always find a listing agent that would take 1% (1.5% max) and when I would direct the listing agent to write the listing such that the selling agent was only paid 1-2% instead of 3%. They would just tell you straight up: the selling agents will boycott such listings.
We bought our house we contacted the owner, told her we would wire her the asking price in full if she would drop the listing and her realtor, and just get her attorney to draw up the paperwork. Her realtor was a dumbass and didn’t do shite to help.
Lady did it, and we had the bank wire the money to her. Easy as pie, transferred deed and nobody had to pay commission to a useless realtor.

Riiight. Because it’s unethical to refuse to work for free.

Ah I see you’ve swallowed that line of bull shite. I know several agents that work for a discount broker and they sell homes at market rate at the same speed as higher commissioned agents. They do a minimum of 5x the amount of deals as most agents in a year so they’ve gained a lot more experience doing it. There’s some shitty agents at their brokerage, just like there’s plenty of shitty agents at the Keller Williams and Latter and Blum’s of the world.

Realtors are almost as big of a scam as appraisers……
…..nearly.
Both are useless in today’s world.
